>48 hours from the first Richmond Burlesque Brunch

Tickled Pink! Performing a traditional fan dance (Rasputina-Brand New Key) and my first, darkly classic number (Jill Tracy- Evil Night Together). A cape is involved. *glee*

April is break month. I need some time to recover and become Re-inspired and perfect some useful skills for future work. The rest of the year is already coming together, a speculative calander:

May or July- Black Tassel Boolesque debut, D.C
June, Baltimore- Glitterdome, Murderland Edition. (Mourna Handful, Eyrie Twilight, guests)
August, RVA- Glitterdome, Dirty, dirty south. (Pupa Larvette, Mourna Handful, *band*
Synthetic Nightmare)
October- Black Tassel Boolesque + Synthetic Nightmare + RVAFreaks.com Epic Costume Party.

I'm excited about the potential for Black Tassel Boolesque, as a non localized venture catering to subcultural events. Performing in the context of gothic, steampunk and convention (sci-fi, fantasy, renne, fairy, steampunk, goth, fetish, industrial, powernoize) / concert (goth, industiral, ethereal, powernoize, aggrotech, glitchcore, TerrorEBM, cabaret, etc.) events isn't likely to be super profitable, but I enjoy myself, and a hobby should be enjoyable.

I had the pleasure of performing with miss Mourna Handful, in a burlesque tribute to Siouxie and the Banshees. during my geisha rendition of "Hong Kong Garden", everyone started clapping along with the beat, some people sang and the mood was elated, frivilous and lovely (after minor scolding). I was told that my stage presence was "the best yet" from a friend who supports my efforts regularly. The crowd has a huge impact on my performances at this point in my dance work.

I may have leveled up as a dancer (+1 to confidence), reality to be tested in my future show(s). During the "Fairy Tales" show, I found that my mindfulness and present-ness while performing was a lot clearer and less panicked. Until this point, my performances just seemed to breeze by in a heartbeat... am I taking time to breathe?

80's show. Saftey Dance (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), Rock the Casbah.

Most productive photographer ever = Timothy Wyatt Wood of Richmond, Virginia. He is so efficent in his shooting and lighting techniques. He's very active in composition and loves shooting what I love. At the end of the month, Paper Street Photography and Daryl Brown (because Mourna is AMAZING) for some steamdustrial and Burlesque. Nothing to spit at, surely.
